Free robobus rides
    2025-05-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Passengers experience a driverless bus ride Sunday on Guizhou Province’s first autonomous bus route, running from Huaxi University Town to the Guizhou Institute of Technology in Gui’an New Area.

The buses operate on a fixed path with six stops over a distance of 5 kilometers, taking 15 to 20 minutes for a one-way trip. From Sunday through the end of May, passengers can enjoy free trial rides by scanning a QR code at the bus stops or making an online reservation.

These robobuses, each accommodating up to six passengers, are equipped with Level 4 autonomous driving technology. They are designed to provide unmanned shuttle services over distances ranging from 3 to 10 kilometers.
