Free bus rides for cultural expo visitors
    2025-05-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) will kick off Thursday at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Bao’an District.

In addition to its diverse exhibits, the expo has partnered with the local bus operator to offer free bus rides to attendees. Meanwhile, local tourist attractions and hotels are also providing exclusive discounts.

Shenzhen Bus Group will offer free rides to ICIF attendees on its red double-decker sightseeing buses throughout the duration of the expo, which runs until next Monday. Attendees can access these free rides by presenting their expo credentials (such as exhibitor or purchaser passes, guest cards, etc.) along with a valid form of identification.

The special bus route includes stops at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, the Yanjiang Expressway, OH Bay, the Bao’an Library, and the Uniwalk shopping mall.

ICIF attendees can also explore tourist attractions at discounted rates. There is a 20% discount at popular tourist spots in the city, such as Window of the World, Happy Valley, Splendid China • China Folk Culture Villages, and Shenzhen Safari Park.

Half-price tickets are available at spots including Mission Hills Eco-Sports Park, the Evergreen Resort, Guangming Farm, the Waterlands Resort, Rose Coast, OCT East, and Diwang Mansion.

Additionally, the Ping An Finance Center’s Free Sky observation deck on the 116th floor is offering a 40% discount, and 100 adult passes are available daily via the “Free Sky” mini-program.

Shenzhen’s red double-decker sightseeing bus, affectionately nicknamed the “Red Fat Man,” is a popular way for tourists to explore the city. These buses are equipped with panoramic glass roofs, allowing passengers to enjoy almost 360-degree views of vibrant urban landscape. Each bus also offers free multilingual audio guides in eight languages, including Chinese, English, French, and Japanese, providing insightful commentary on the attractions along the routes.
