AgiBot launches new humanoid robot
    2025-05-23  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AGIBOT has released its new android, the Lingxi X2, and started to recruit business partners to spur the commercialization of the robot, with the aim to transform androids from “laboratory exhibits” into “scene application tools.”

The Lingxi X2 can be purchased starting Thursday, while AgiBot has begun recruiting commercial allies, according to Wei Qiang, president of the firm’s Lingxi business department. A business-to-business-to-consumer model will help the product reach end consumers through corporate clients, he was quoted by Yicai as saying.

The Lingxi X2 comes in Interactive Edition, Pro Exploration Edition, and Ultra Flagship Edition, each version having progressively enhanced capabilities, with prices ranging from just over 100,000 yuan (US$13,885) to 400,000 yuan. The top-tier Ultra Flagship Edition, equipped with dexterous hands, remote operation systems, and motion capture devices, can walk in complex real-world scenarios like parks.

Potential application scenarios for the Lingxi X2 include education as well as cultural and entertainment businesses, Wei said.

Standing at 1.3 meters tall and resembling a 9-year-old child in appearance, the Lingxi X2 features 25 to 31 degrees of freedom throughout its body, with enhanced human-computer interaction capabilities.

The robot could serve as an exhibition guide, host cultural and entertainment shows, perform dances, stand-up comedy, and other stage acts, Wei said.

In addition to providing the humanoid robot hardware, AgiBot offers open interfaces for the Lingxi X2, supporting secondary development from joint control to model algorithms.

“Accumulating data in more human-interaction scenarios and using it to fuel technological iteration is the healthy development path for humanoid robots,” Wei said.

Shipments of the Lingxi X2 may exceed 5,000 units by the end of next year, he added.(SD-Agencies)
