SHENZHEN Sports Park, part of the newly renovated Shenzhen Sports Center, has officially opened to the public with a reservation system in place. The sports park features two seven-a-side soccer pitches, one 11-a-side soccer field, outdoor and indoor basketball courts, seven outdoor tennis courts and 12 badminton courts. These facilities are available for reservation on “iShenti” (iShenzhenSports), the official miniprogram of Shenzhen Sports Center, which offers English-language service on its homepage. Complete facilities Regarded as one of Shenzhen’s eight major cultural infrastructures, The Shenzhen Stadium, part of the Shenzhen Sports Center, was originally built in 1985, and underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2020. The newly renovated Shenzhen Stadium has seen significant improvement in terms of capacity, turf quality, grandstand seating design, display screens and the restroom facilities. It now serves as the home stadium for Shenzhen New Pengcheng FC of Chinese Super League. On par with an international professional soccer stadium, the newly renovated Shenzhen Stadium boasts 45,000 seats arranged in a fully enclosed, tiered design. The front row is positioned just 9 meters from the pitch, providing an unobstructed viewing experience. The stadium is equipped with an intelligent temperature control and three-dimensional drainage system, allowing it to be restored to optimal conditions within just 20 minutes after heavy rain. The ultra-high-definition viewing screens ensures that every moment of the event is displayed with crystal-clear clarity. Inside the venue, there are 1,093 restroom seats, of which 594 can be flexibly converted for male or female use to accommodate different events. To enhance accessiblity, a designated wheelchair spectator area is thoughtfully integrated into the stadium design to meet the needs of all audience members.
