ONE of the most influential art events of Vanke Meisha Academy (VMA), the “VMA Annual Student Art Exhibition” raises its curtain at OCT-LOFT in Nanshan District today. Titled “The Rhythm of Sprout, a Dialogue Between Art and Nature,” this year’s event centers around the theme of plants, and showcases student creations. The exhibits range from realistic depictions to abstract forms of plants through diverse mediums, including traditional art, digital media, and creative design. Highlights of the exhibition: 1. Fashion show The opening ceremony of the art event blends fashion and music in an immersive experience. Performing art students of VMA present an original string composition titled “Spring” at the show, creating an audiovisual feast where garments and melodies complement each other. 2. Cross-disciplinary fusion Over 10 specialized courses, including painting, woodcraft, printmaking, fashion design and 3D printing, enable students to embark on a creative art exploration through traditional and digital media. 3. Immersive experience — art treasure hunt On today’s opening, the venue is transformed into an interactive treasure hunt ground. Visitors can follow clues to discover hidden elements and creative ideas within the exhibited artworks. Participants will receive small gifts as part of the treasure hunt. 4. Art collaboration As part of OCAT Future’s brand projects, the exhibition is connected with the OCAT open platform for youth. Launched in 2020, the initiative of OCAT Future is dedicated to promoting children’s artistic practice and creative thinking. It’s aimed to inspire creativity and imagination in children.
