THE Class of 2025 of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU) celebrated its graduation and degree conferral ceremony on June 20, uniting 396 university graduates, 86 master’s degree holders, and 35 international students in a hybrid “offline+online” gathering.

Attendees included faculty, alumni, parents, and distinguished guests, with special virtual participation from graduates currently visiting Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The ceremony honored academic distinction through keynote addresses and awards. Academician Mohamed Jamal Deen (chief scientist at the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute), undergraduate valedictorian Zhan Zhaoyi (Faculty of Engineering), and postgraduate speaker Kuprekova Ekaterina (Faculty of Philology) shared insights as faculty and student representatives.

A highlight was the Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Award ceremony, where “SMBU Star” honorees and top students received recognition.

Rector Li Hezhang capped the event with an inspiring address, calling on graduates to embody SMBU’s ethos of curiosity, integrity, and innovation.
