Drawn to SZU for its strong academic reputation and dynamic campus environment, Muhammadjon appreciates the university’s emphasis on internationalization and practical education. “The comprehensive curriculum and hands-on approach in international Chinese language education perfectly align with my educational goals, and I would like to learn more Chinese language education,” he explained. Since arriving in Shenzhen just last year, Muhammadjon has developed a deep affection for the vibrant city and its diverse community. Fluent in five languages, including Tajik, Russian, English, Chinese, and Uzbek, Muhammadjon’s linguistic abilities have been instrumental in fostering communication and collaboration with classmates and faculty from different backgrounds. This multilingual proficiency has enriched his academic experience and broadened his cultural understanding. Passionate about both STEM and the arts, Muhammadjon exemplifies an interdisciplinary approach to learning. “I believe that combining creativity with problem-solving leads to innovative solutions, which is why I actively participate in various student groups,” he shared. Thanks to SZU’s extensive resources, including diverse courses and research opportunities, he has been able to fully explore these interests. Collaborative projects involving students from different disciplines have further expanded his academic horizons. A highlight of his studies was a visit to Tencent, where Muhammadjon gained firsthand experience with Shenzhen’s thriving tech innovation ecosystem. Engaging with industry professionals and learning about cutting-edge technologies solidified his aspiration to pursue a career in the technology sector. Beyond academics, Shenzhen’s rich cultural diversity has provided Muhammadjon with numerous opportunities to immerse himself in local traditions. “I have participated in various cultural events and festivals, such as the Chinese New Year celebrations and the International Culture Festival of Shenzhen University. These experiences have allowed me to connect with people from around the world and enjoy a wide variety of Chinese cuisines,” he said. With particular interests in education and artificial intelligence, Muhammadjon plans to build his career within Shenzhen’s flourishing technology industry, aiming to contribute to innovation and cross-cultural exchange. |
