FOR those seeking a quiet place to study after work instead of staying at home, Baixing Study is an ideal choice. Its reading and studying areas are open 24 hours every day, providing uninterrupted access to a peaceful environment.

Literally meaning “a study for common folks,” Baixing Study is a four-story building offering reading and self-study spaces on the first two floors. Wooden desks equipped with power sockets make it convenient to bring and use laptops. Sofas beside the French windows create a relaxed and comfortable reading atmosphere.

Bookshelves on the first and second floors display 20,000 books, covering social sciences, literature, and art. Additional reading areas are scattered under the staircase, and a dedicated children’s picture book corner is available, allowing visitors to pick up a book and sit down anytime.

The study also features two types of private self-study rooms that require advance booking. Shixi Hall (时习馆) on the first floor has six seats separated by partitions, while Jingsi Rooms (静思房) on the second floor consist of six single-occupancy rooms. You can book a room for one to three hours at a time. For those who prefer to sit by the window, Jingsi Rooms Nos. 4, 5, and 6 offer that option.

On the third floor, there is an art exhibition space, and the fourth floor provides psychological counseling, gym, and meditation areas. Free drinking water is available on the first floor, and you can also purchase coffee and other beverages.

The entire building offers a spacious and airy atmosphere. Its glass facade resembles a giant glass box; when sunlight streams in, the interior is bright and transparent. A minimalistic wooden staircase connects all four floors, enhancing the clean and open feel of the space. Sitting on the fourth floor by the French windows, you can gaze out at the trees, enjoying a soothing view for both eyes and mind.
