A NEARLY 10,000-square-meter indoor ocean world, Shenzhen Hengyuan Ocean Cubic, opened July 15 in Longhua District. Centered around marine culture, it is a comprehensive marine-themed exploration playland that integrates marine ecosystem displays, popular science education, immersive performances, and parent-child interactions. From the elegant and agile devil rays to the ancient giant arapaima, over a hundred rare species have made their home here. Combined with cutting-edge technological displays, the ocean world creates an all-new experience integrating observation, interaction, and science education. Passing through the 180-degree frameless panoramic underwater tunnel, visitors enter the enchanting world, where the graceful devil rays glided overhead, their wide “wings” unfurling elegantly, while massive nurse sharks swam leisurely by. Upon stepping into the second floor, guests embark on a fantastical journey. At a marine theater, they can enjoy a delightful encounter with adorable sea lions. Additionally, penguins, capybaras, ring-tailed lemurs, meerkats, and Angora ferrets also make charming appearances. Beyond the diverse marine life and adorable animals, the ocean world offers children three themed immersive classrooms, providing over 24 free interactive courses. These engaging classes cover a wide range of subjects, including aerospace, technology, traditional Chinese culture, and handicrafts. Tickets with a starting price of 49 yuan (US$6.83) are available on platforms including Dianping, Meituan, and Douyin.
