


Huang Lihua THE 2025 Asia-Pacific Regional Young Professional Campaign and the China-Japan-Korea YP Program, a regional event under the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for young professionals in standardization and conformity assessment, was held in Shenzhen from July 6 to 11, attracting the participation of young experts from China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Pakistan, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Organized by the Quality and Standards Academy of Shenzhen Technology University and the National Education about Standardization Special Working Group, the event was guided and supported by the IEC Asia-Pacific Regional Center. This event marked the third consecutive regional young professionals campaign hosted by China, and it was the first time China had held the rotating presidency of the China-Japan-Korea YP activities. This intensive initiative, which brought together young professionals for networking, knowledge exchange, and skill development, focused on equipping Asia-Pacific youth with the tools they need to expand their impact within the IEC’s global standardization landscape. A total of 41 young experts from 11 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Germany, Russia, and China, participated in the six-day event. Industry regulators and experts in areas such as electrical transport and brain–computer interfaces, were also invited to participate. |
