Smart unmanned monitoring vessel The Shenzhen Ocean Development Bureau recently held a maiden voyage event for its unmanned monitoring vessel, which is equipped with radar, an automatic identification system (AIS), and other navigation devices. It supports multiple navigation modes, including route tracking and escorting, and features collision avoidance and early warning functions to ensure safe navigation. The vessel carries a variety of advanced monitoring instruments such as multi-parameter water quality analyzers, a small meteorological station, above-water and underwater cameras, and high-resolution imaging sonar. These enable real-time monitoring and data collection of water quality, meteorological conditions, underwater terrain, and biological resources, making it a truly multipurpose vessel. |
