Apple to shut store in troubled mall

APPLE decided to close a store in China for the first time after several other retailers left the shopping mall where it is located.

The Apple Store in Parkland Mall in Dalian will close because the mall has been embroiled in litigation since 2022 and other retailers already departed the same location, the U.S. company’s China arm said. The shop will cease operations at 8 p.m. Aug. 9.

Coach, Kenzo, Hugo Boss, MCM Worldwide, Kate Spade, Armani, Sandro, Maje, UGG, Max Mara and other brands already closed their shops there upon their leases expiring.

Learning with AI

OPENAI has launched a study mode for ChatGPT that guides users through problems step by step, according to a company blog post.

The new feature is available starting yesterday, for ChatGPT Free, Plus, Pro, and Team users, and will roll out to ChatGPT Edu users in the coming weeks.

Study mode offers interactive prompts, quizzes, and organizes responses into sections to help users learn, rather than just provide answers. Users can choose to enable or disable the study mode at any time.
