THE Nanshan Intellectual Property Protection Center has recently taken a big step forward. The first batch of overseas intellectual property (IP) workstations have been established in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Thailand, accompanied by the release of intellectual property service guides for six countries, including Singapore. The Shenzhen (Nanshan)-UAE Overseas Intellectual Property Workstation has been set up in Dubai, aiming to provide comprehensive support to Chinese enterprises venturing into the Middle Eastern market. This workstation offers a range of five major benefits. Firstly, it provides 30-minute one-on-one intellectual property legal consultation. Throughout the year, there will be three public lectures on Chinese enterprise law. For trademark applications, the workstation offers pre-examination processing, and the first order for small and medium-sized enterprises is free of charge, though this is limited to 30 companies. Additionally, it provides free step-by-step illustrations for trademark, patent, and copyright applications, making the process more accessible. Lastly, it offers a free subscription to the monthly magazine “Middle East Law Review,” keeping enterprises informed about the latest legal trends in the region. Meanwhile, the Shenzhen (Nanshan)-Thailand Overseas Intellectual Property Protection Workstation has been established in Bangkok. This workstation has three key highlights. Firstly, enterprises can dial +66905998290 for inquiries related to the entire intellectual property chain. Secondly, Nanshan enterprises are entitled to a free initial consultation for one hour. There will also be three public lectures on intellectual property in Southeast Asia throughout the year. Lastly, the workstation offers a free customized overseas intellectual property risk prevention plan, helping businesses mitigate potential risks. In addition to the workstations, the IP service guides for six countries, inlcuding Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, have been released online. These guides are packed with essential information, encompassing four core contents: IP legal system, layout guidance, dispute resolution, and science and technology innovation policies.(Zhang Yu) |
