A DELEGATION from South Africa’s Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently visited the “Go Global” Global Service Center in Nanshan District, seeking to deepen economic and trade ties. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on Sino-South African industrial strengths and potential collaboration, reaching multiple consensuses on future cooperation directions and laying a solid foundation for enhanced bilateral relations. This visit came as South Africa participated for the first time this year in the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), where 31 South African enterprises from diverse sectors — including agriculture, electronics, chemicals, leather, footwear and textiles, cosmetics, mining, and creative industries — showcased the country’s multifaceted industrial potential. The DTI delegation’s trip to Nanshan is a vivid demonstration of South Africa’s proactive efforts to strengthen connections at the sub-national and enterprise levels with China. Both parties acknowledged broad prospects for cooperation across numerous fields. As a crucial hub for international economic and trade cooperation, the “Go Global” Global Service Center in Nanshan facilitates the district’s international engagement, having established a service network covering key markets including Europe, America, ASEAN, and the Middle East. This network enhances support for foreign investment landing and international services. (Zhang Yu) |
