SHENZHEN Bao’an International Airport achieved a historic high in passenger and cargo throughput in the first half of 2025.

From January to June, the airport handled 32.57 million passengers, a 10.9% increase year-on-year, while cargo and mail throughput reached 983,000 tons, up 14.1%. Flight movements rose to 221,000, marking a 7.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

A notable trend was the surge in Hong Kong residents choosing the Shenzhen airport for travel. Over 328,000 Hong Kong travelers passed through the airport in the first six months, a 10% increase, with weekly numbers regularly exceeding 10,000.
