Elite entrepreneurs

TEN business leaders from Shenzhen have been named to Fortune’s 2025 “China’s 40 Under 40” list.

Among them is Liu Jingkang, founder of Insta360 and the youngest entrepreneur on the list. Insta360’s products are now sold in more than 60 countries.

Other honorees from outside Shenzhen include Liang Wenfeng, founder and CEO of DeepSeek, and Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Robotics.

Robotaxi service

AUTONOMOUS driving firm Pony.ai has launched 24-hour Robotaxi services in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Pony.ai is currently the only company in China operating paid, fully driverless Robotaxi services in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

The company’s fleet now exceeds 500 Robotaxi vehicles and is expected to top 1,000 by year-end.

SHENZHEN’S first Unitree intelligent robot experience center will open in Longhua District, offering immersive, hands-on encounters with robots from Hangzhou-based Unitree.

Under professional guidance, visitors can issue simple voice or command inputs to bipedal robots and watch them walk and turn, and can remotely control quadruped robot dogs to run, jump, and roll.

Shuttle bus service from downtown to Xiaomeisha

SHENZHEN Bus Group has launched a free shuttle bus service from downtown to Xiaomeisha Beach in Yantian District.

The bus, free of charge until Oct. 8, runs once daily, departing from Shenzhen Capital Group (SCGC) Plaza at 9:30 a.m. and returning from Xiaomeisha at 3:30 p.m.

The route passes through Nanshan, Futian and Luohu districts, with stops at eight major points, including Shenzhen University, Window of the World, Shenzhen Book City CBD Store, and the Futian and Liantang checkpoints.
