The company opened its first Shenzhen store at Holiday Plaza in Nanshan District in 2012, and a second store at the MixC shopping mall in Luohu District in 2023. The Bao’an store will offer Apple’s full product lineup. Free Today at Apple workshops — covering photography, design, and accessibility — will be held daily at the store, and private group bookings will be available for organizations. Its opening underscores Apple’s increasing investment in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, according to the company. “Qianhai is a pivotal hub for innovation and commerce in the Greater Bay Area,” said Rachel Yu, Apple Retail’s South China market director. “With this opening, we’ve established a comprehensive retail presence across Shenzhen, ensuring customers citywide — especially in the rapidly growing western districts — can experience Apple’s products and services firsthand.” More than 120 staffers will work at the store, including two visually impaired employees and one team member who returned from retirement. The team will provide hands-on technical support and customer service, including demonstrations of the iPhone 16 series, M4-powered MacBook Pro, and Apple Vision Pro, as well as personalized setup and trade-in assistance. A dedicated Apple Vision Pro demo area will offer 30-minute immersive sessions showcasing spatial computing capabilities. The store’s design follows Apple’s global retail ethos, with an emphasis on sustainability and accessibility. |
