





WITH the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War approaching on Sept. 3, preparations for the commemorative activities in Beijing are entering their final phase. From intense military parade rehearsals on the outskirts of Beijing to elaborate floral displays lining Chang’an Avenue and media tours drawing nearly 200 international and domestic journalists, the capital is abuzz with activity.
