Zhang Yu JeniZhang13@163.com THE 2025 Shenzhen International Intelligent Elderly Care Industry Expo will showcase more than 2,000 innovative products integrating artificial intelligence, IoT, and robotics technology when it opens in September. The exhibition, scheduled for Sept. 12-14 in Halls 7 and 8 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District, will bring together over 200 elderly care companies from around the world, the organizers announced Thursday. The expo will feature seven themed exhibition areas covering the entire industry chain, from intelligent home care to wellness travel. Displays will include cutting-edge healthcare service robots, intelligent healthcare systems, biological anti-aging technology, smart medical equipment, and elderly care financial solutions. As the largest offline platform for Shenzhen’s Home Modification Subsidy Policy, launched by the city’s civil affairs bureau, the exhibition will offer experience and direct purchase services for over 1,000 smart products. A highlight of this year’s event will be the first Shenzhen Elderly Care Robot Competition, sponsored by Industrial Bank Co. Ltd. Shenzhen Branch. The competition will focus on practical applications of robots in health and wellness settings, with judging teams composed of experience officers and representatives from investment and financing institutions. Competition categories include intelligent care, companionship, monitoring, health promotion, and entertainment, with 16 subcategories covering scenarios such as mobile walking assistance, toileting assistance, intelligent bathing assistance, traditional Chinese medicine therapy, and recreational activities. Ni Chidan, president of the Shenzhen Elderly Service Development Association, said the expo will serve as a comprehensive display window for industry achievements. “The event will closely connect with market demand and effectively promote the acceleration of ‘technology for the elderly’ from abstract concepts to practical services,” Ni said. |
