WITH the summer heat fading, join the “Up Grow” Sport Life Festival at the mall in Vanke Cloud City in Nanshan District. Featuring avocado-themed visuals, the festival blends sport into daily life and promotes fitness to echo the upcoming 15th National Games.

The mall’s outdoor area has been transformed into a place to blow off steam for sports lovers. Last weekend featured pickleball, guandan and skateboarding; through the National Day holiday more activities await. If you’re not into sports, enjoy taking photos with cute installations — open through Oct. 11.

Most activities are open to all without registration; scan the WeChat miniprogram code to sign up for the rugby match and cycling events.

Family badminton match

Participants can collect small gifts at designated stops and cap the ride with a complimentary beer at Cabin Barbecue. Enjoy city views and nature along the route.

Live music

A live concert presented with Kugou Music will feature classic Cantopop favorites — perfect for winding down after a day of activities. Set outdoors to take advantage of the early-autumn breeze, the show will offer nostalgic tunes and a relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

Clown parades
