SHENZHEN-BASED humanoid robotics company UBTECH has secured a 250-million-yuan (US$34.5 million) contract to supply embodied AI humanoid robots and solutions to an unnamed major domestic enterprise, the largest single deal of its kind globally to date, the company announced Wednesday.

Centered on UBTECH’s Walker S2 model, which features autonomous hot-swappable battery technology, the agreement marks the second major commercial breakthrough for the firm in recent months. In July, UBTECH won a nearly 100-million-yuan order, which was then the largest publicly disclosed contract in the humanoid robotics industry.

Delivery under the new contract is scheduled to begin before the end of this year.

With this agreement, UBTECH’s Walker series humanoid robots have now accumulated nearly 400 million yuan in total orders.

The latest contract signals accelerating commercialization in an industry that has long been dominated by research prototypes.

UBTECH unveiled the Walker S2 in July, designed to allow for 24/7 operation without human intervention for charging.

At the heart of Walker S2 lies BrainNet 2.0, UBTECH’s new dual-loop AI control system. This neural framework integrates a cognitive-level Co-Agent with real-time motion intelligence, enabling the robot to simultaneously reason, plan, and act across dynamic industrial environments.
