THE “Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience,” an immersive night walk inspired by J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter stories, will launch its inaugural China tour in Shenzhen’s Longhua District during the upcoming National Day holiday. Running through next March, the attraction will transform the Niuhu Waterfront Greenway in Guanlan Subdistrict into an illuminated forest trail, featuring installtions of magical creatures and wizarding wonders from the “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” films. Visitors can experience the magic up close — whether encountering enchanting creatures like flying broomsticks, tree spirits and Nifflers, or casting spells with a wand in hand. At the end of the trail, guests can visit the themed village to enjoy dining and browse for souvenirs, creating an unforgettable night. Ticket sales begin today, with adult tickets starting at 238 yuan (US$33.38). Early bird tickets are available at a discounted rate of 218 yuan for a limited three-day period. Presented by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences Division in collaboration with global entertainment platforms Fever and Holovis, the attraction has previously toured the U.K., the U.S., Belgium, Australia, Singapore, and other countries, attracting over 2 million visitors worldwide. The decision to launch the China tour in Longhua District was officially announced at a signing ceremony held at the district’s pavilion during the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center from May 22 to 26. Located near Guanlan Cultural Town, the 9.9-kilometer Niuhu Waterfront Greenway is Shenzhen’s first lakeside track to meet national standards for micro- and mini-marathons. Tickets can be purchased via the “‘Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience’ Shenzhen Stop” (哈利波特禁忌森林体验—深圳站) mini-program.
