MORE than 30 Shenzhen-based companies and institutions have brought cutting-edge technologies and new application scenarios to the ongoing 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing. “We are displaying a series of recent innovations centered on the logistics ecosystem,” said Teng Fei, a senior solutions consultant at SF Technology, a subsidiary of SF Express. SF’s booth features autonomous delivery vehicles that are commonly used on campuses and in industrial parks along with eco-friendly packaging, such as a container that preserves freshness by regulating the internal temperature without ice packs or other coolants. AI+ applications are among the biggest draws at this year’s fair. Shenzhen robotics firm UBTECH is exhibiting the Walker S1 industrial humanoid robot alongside consumer robots such the Alpha Mini, a home companion, and Wukong, a portable robot with built-in AI that can interact and perform. Tobosoft is showcasing an end-to-end AI matrix for office software, with AI assistants, automated recruiting bots, and document verification and drafting assisted by a large model. Tencent is highlighting developments with the digital yuan and WeChat Pay’s cross-border payment services for international travelers. Exhibitor Shenzhen NewTranx Technology said it plans to debut an upgraded subtitle translation system that offers real-time multilingual subtitling with simultaneous interpretation, speaker identification, and automated key-point extraction — part of an AI-assisted voice-conferencing ecosystem intended to streamline the entire meeting process and transform modern conference communication. The 2025 CIFTIS, which will run through Sunday, brings together Global Fortune 500 and industry-leading enterprises, with nearly 2,000 firms participating in on-site exhibitions. According to the Ministry of Commerce, China’s service imports and exports in the first half of 2025 totaled more than 3.8 trillion yuan (about US$533 billion), up 8% year on year. (Tang Li) |
