Hesai nets US$40M deal

CHINESE LiDAR maker Hesai Group announced a US$40 million agreement with an unnamed U.S. robotaxi company, the firm said in a statement Monday. Under the deal, Hesai will supply both short‑ and long‑range LiDAR sensors through the end of 2026.

Keeta launches in Kuwait

KEETA, the international food‑delivery platform operated by Meituan, has launched in Kuwait, following earlier expansions into China’s Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. New users in Kuwait will receive a 50% discount on their first order plus free delivery.

Keeta’s marketplace includes local Kuwaiti restaurants and international chains; the company says it will support small and medium‑sized restaurants with digital tools, no ad fees, and incentives for couriers. Keeta uses Meituan’s logistics and technology infrastructure and plans to partner with local logistics firms to secure nationwide coverage in Kuwait.

Tencent opens

AI capabilities

TENCENT announced it is opening its AI capabilities to external users via Tencent Cloud to help companies across industries adopt AI more easily. Qiu Yuepeng, Tencent Group vice president and president of Tencent Cloud, said the platform now supports mainstream Chinese chips and highlighted the company’s involvement in open‑source projects.

Tencent Cloud is investing in long‑term hardware and software optimization, using a heterogeneous computing platform that integrates multiple chip types to provide cost‑effective AI computing power to external clients as demand for AI solutions grows.
