A crane lifts branches felled by Typhoon Ragasa on Huanggang Road in Futian District yesterday afternoon after the storm skirted about 156 km off Shenzhen’s southern coast that morning. From Tuesday night to 7:30 a.m. yesterday, 174 street trees were toppled by the typhoon across the city, but no casualties were reported. At 4 p.m. yesterday, Shenzhen lifted suspensions on classes, work, production, public transport and business operations. The typhoon made landfall on Hailing Island in Yangjiang in Guangdong Province around 5 p.m. yesterday.Liu Xudong
