TYPHOON Ragasa, the 18th typhoon of the year, made landfall Wednesday near Hailing Island in Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, with maximum winds reaching typhoon strength Level 13. As it swept through the region, the storm brought heavy rain, strong gusts, coastal flooding, and widespread disruption across the Hong Kong–Macao–Guangdong Greater Bay Area.
