After a two‑year renovation, the historic Minghua cruise ship in Shekou will reopen in October as an immersive performance complex. Next month it will debut “The Deal” — billed as China’s first immersive theater production created for ship cabins. Presented by China Merchants Shekou and co-produced by China Merchants Culture in partnership with the U.K.’s Gecko, the production features Amit Lahav as artistic director and 36 top performers from 12 countries
