Chang Zhipeng 57589527@qq.com QIANHAI Snow World, certified yesterday by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest indoor ski center, officially opened during a launch ceremony on the same day. During the event, the project received professional ski-track certification from the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). It was also designated as a Ski Sports Training Base for Guangdong Province, a Hong Kong Ski Team Training Base, and a Shenzhen Ice-and-Snow Tourism Study Base. Located north of the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao’an District, the ski center is the world’s southernmost facility of its kind. The complex covers 100,000 square meters and features five professional ski trails, with the longest single run measuring 463 meters with a maximum vertical drop of 83 meters. Equipped with sixth-generation distributed snowmaking technology that simulates natural ice-crystal growth, the facility produces ultra-fine snow that is virtually indistinguishable from real snow. A high-efficiency transport system with dual ropeways and multiple magic-carpet conveyors facilitates up to 3,200 rides per hour. The resort also features a premium Snow Club, which provides exclusive social and viewing spaces. To increase convenience, it also offers dedicated cross-border shuttle services to Hong Kong and Macao. For the National Day holiday, Qianhai Snow World will launch a Bay Area National Day Snow Carnival. The ski area will present coach performances, fun-points competitions, and interactive events designed to introduce ice and snow sports to a wider audience. The commercial area will combine camping, markets, live music, street dance, and other activities to create a fun environment for visitors of all ages. The resort is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Five free 30-minute ski lessons will be offered each day between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. |
