BYD hits 14-millionth NEV milestone
    2025-10-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

BYD chairman and president Wang Chuanfu (L) presents the company’s 14-millionth new energy vehicle (NEV) to Brazilian President  Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva as a gift at a ceremony in Brazil. The Shenzhen-based automaker announced Friday that its 14-millionth vehicle rolled off the production line at its factory in Camacari, Brazil, on Thursday, making it the world’s first NEV automaker to reach that figure. The car, a BYD Song Pro, was presented to President Lula as a gift and registered in his name. BYD has operated in Brazil for more than 11 years and serves over 170,000 local customers. The company has been the top seller in Brazil’s NEV market for two consecutive years and now holds 74.4% of the country’s electric vehicle market by total sales.Official Weibo account of BYD
