ON Aug. 25, the Yantian Academic and Scientific International Exchange Center was officially unveiled during a ceremony at the BGI Center.

The new facility is the first dedicated international exchange hub in Yantian District and will focus on industry development, international exchanges, and academic and scientific collaboration.

Designed as a multifunctional platform, the center aims to attract international talent, bring together global resources, and facilitate open cooperation. It will host international delegations, conferences, academic and research exchanges, and professional networking activities, positioning itself as a focal point for cross-border engagement and knowledge sharing.

Earlier this year, Yantian released its “Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of an Internationalized Urban Area.” It outlines five strategic priorities for internationalization, such as the district’s image, industrial development, cooperation and exchanges, public services, and the living environment.
