MORE than 100 hotels in Shenzhen were recognized as 2025 “3R Zero-waste Hotels” during a sharing session at Enshang Wetland Park, Yantian District, on Oct. 15. The abbreviation 3R stands for reduce, reuse, and recycle.

The event, themed “enjoy zero-waste hotels, go green for fashion and health,” promoted the green hosting concept of the upcoming 15th National Games by advocating practical waste sorting and reduction measures across the hotel industry.

Organizers said the event aimed to showcase industry best practices and further advance municipal waste classification efforts in Shenzhen’s hospitality sector.(Lian Jiaqi)
