Game music to bring back youthful reveries
    2025-11-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

TWO game music concerts, set to evoke thrilling memories for fans, will meet local audiences next week at Shenzhen Poly Theater.

A world of swordsmen and fairies

The first concert, performed by the Anhui Traditional Orchestra together with an electric pop band, will feature classic pieces from the beloved game series “Chinese Paladin: Sword and Fairy.” Stunning visuals from the original games will be displayed on a large screen during the performance.

The series draws on ancient Chinese myths and legends of immortals, demons, gods, and spirits, weaving together themes of martial arts and fantasy. To date, the franchise has released nine single-player role-playing games, one derivative strategy game, two online games, one social game, and a mobile game adaptation.

The program includes nearly 40 pieces that follow the game’s storyline, allowing the audience to relive the chivalrous legends and poignant emotional entanglements of characters like Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling’er.

Tickets: 80 – 380 yuan

Time: 8 p.m., Nov. 11

Relive the magic of classic games

A second concert, performed by the Shanghai Youth City Symphony Orchestra, will offer an audio-visual feast for both gaming and music enthusiasts.

The repertoire spans the epic scores of “World of Warcraft,” the heart-wrenching melodies of “Final Fantasy,” the ethereal soundscapes of “The Legend of Zelda,” the energetic themes of “League of Legends,” and pieces from “Genshin Impact” that blend Oriental charm with global musical influences.

Synchronized with game visuals, the concert immerses the audience in a journey through majestic epics and vibrant adventures, and from sci-fi futures to fantastical continents.

Tickets: 80 – 380 yuan

Time: 8 p.m., Nov. 12(Li Dan)

Venue: Shenzhen Poly Theater, Nanshan District (南山区深圳保利剧院)
