Lianhua Hill Park to host bougainvillea expo, coffee and music festivals
    2025-11-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AS Shenzhen moves into autumn, the highly anticipated seasonal lineup at Lianhua Hill Park in Futian District promises an extended, lively run of events this year.

2025 Bougainvillea Exhibition

The 2025 Bougainvillea Exhibition will open Nov. 7 and run for 15 days through Nov. 21, almost a week longer than last year’s nine-day show. Featuring expanded programming, the flower exhibition will have its main venue at Lianhua Hill Park, with satellite displays at Bao’an Bougainvillea Vally Park and sections along Shennan Boulevard.

The extended schedule is designed to give more people a chance to enjoy the blooms and to accommodate a wider range of activities and installations.

How to get there:

● Metro Line 3 or 4 to Children’s Palace Station (少年宫站) — Exit F1 (about a 600m walk to the Civic Center entrance) or Exit E (south entrance);

● Metro Line 2 to Lianhua West Station (莲花西站)— Exit A (south entrance);

● Metro Line 3 or 10 to Lianhuacun Station (莲花村站)

Lianhua Hill Coffee Festival

Running alongside the flower expo, the Lianhua Hill Coffee Festival will open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Held on the Yelin Lawn near the south entrance of the park and adjacent to the Kite Plaza, more than 120 domestic and international coffee brands will make debut at the festival, offering specialty pour-overs, signature blends and roasting demos. A market area will include baking stalls, handmade goods and creative products — including eco-friendly crafts made from used coffee grounds. Visitors can collect stamps at designated points to redeem commemorative souvenirs such as cups and pins.

How to get there:

Metro Line 3 or 4 to Children’s Palace Station (少年宫站) — Exit F1, then about a 10-minute walk to Kite Plaza; the coffee festival is reached after crossing the plaza.

Lianhuashan Glades Music Festival

As the Bougainvillea Exhibition winds down, the Lianhuashan Glades Music Festival will take over to continue the celebrations.

The main music program runs from Nov. 21 to 23 at Kite Plaza, with warm-up performances scheduled between Nov. 8 and 16 at multiple venues such as the UpperHills shopping complex, Xiangmi Park and Bijia Mountain Camp.

Shedules of the music festival:

● Nov. 8-9: Central Axis Elevated Corridor, Link Central Walk and Xiangmi Park

● Nov. 15-16: UpperHills, Shangbu Green Corridor and Bijia Mountain Camp

● Nov. 21-23: Kite Plaza of Lianhua Hill Park

Please note that on-site parking may be limited or closed during the events. Visitors are advised to take public transport or use nearby parking lots such as at Civic Center and the UpperHills mall and follow festival signage for entry and facilities.
