Wang Jingli wangjingli0715@163.com THE 2025 Shenzhen Bougainvillea Show kicks off Friday, promising a blaze of color for the city this autumn. The show will run through Nov. 21. Lianhua Hill Park in Futian District is serving as the show’s main venue and Bao’an Bougainvillea Valley Park a subvenue. This year, for the first time, the show has extended its footprint beyond the city’s parks, presenting themed floral installations along Shennan Boulevard. The main venue’s five zones, along with eight themed events, feature nearly 320 bougainvillea varieties and 20 unique scenic spots, with more than 200,000 sqm of exhibition area. The festival also features a full schedule of events. The third annual Park Coffee Festival, located near the south gate of Lianhua Hill Park, brings together over 100 brands, including 10 international names, 40 renowned roasters from across China, and over 50 local favorites. Right next door, a park-themed cultural and creative arts festival is showcasing over 900 products. Meanwhile, the Guan Shanyue Art Museum is hosting an exhibition of over 60 bougainvillea-themed artworks, including traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, and sculptures. Notice: All parking lots at Lianhua Hill Park will be closed to visitors during the show (Nov. 7–Nov. 21), according to the city’s urban management authority.
