THE 2025 Consumer Electronics Innovation Congress (CEIC) opened Thursday at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Futian District, attracting more than 18,000 visitors. Bringing together more than 2,000 cutting-edge tech products, the three-day expo is showcasing everything from foundational technologies and innovative gadgets to immersive experiences.

Nearly 300 technology companies from 20 countries and regions are displaying their products, giving attendees an up-close preview of a tech-driven future. The event highlights a range of smart products powered by globally leading technologies, such as HarmonyOS, NearLink, and HDR Vivid.

He Ming, head of the CEIC committee, said that this year’s CEIC fills three critical gaps: it provides deeper insight into the sources of innovation, makes advanced technologies relatable to consumers, and connects the entire ecosystem to foster collaborative breakthroughs.

The exhibition showcases innovations across five key areas: smart terminals, smart vehicles, smart homes, digital health, and next-generation chips. Leading domestic and international tech companies, including  Huawei, BYD, Honor, NIO, XPENG, and HiSilicon, are displaying the latest industry advances and trends.

One standout exhibit is from Elephant Robotics, which is displaying its Mercury 280M5 six-axis robotic arm. Wu Yongsheng, the company’s business manager, introduced it as “the world’s smallest and lightest robotic arm.” Weighing just 860 grams with a 250-gram load capacity, the arm includes full hardware and software support, making it ideal for applications in education, research, and creative development.

Founded in 2016, Huaqiangbei-based Elephant Robotics began with robotic arms and has since expanded into lightweight models, humanoid robots, and bionic companions. Today, its products reach over 70 countries and regions. “As a Shenzhen-based tech firm,” Wu added, “we aim to continue using global platforms like the CEIC to connect with more users and partners.”
