SHENZHEN’S innovative tech lit up the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games on Sunday, integrating cutting‑edge technology with cultural performances to create a striking blend of modern creativity and engineering. Highlighting this fusion of technology and tradition, three Walker S2 humanoid robots from Shenzhen-based UBTECH performed the classic Cantonese melody “Colored Clouds Chasing the Moon” on goudiao, an ancient bronze percussion instrument resembling chime bells. Chen Xiangchi, an engineer at UBTECH, shared, “The main challenge was ensuring the three robots struck precise positions on the instrument in perfect sync with the accompaniment to deliver a flawless and graceful performance.” Thanks to UBTECH’s independently developed core technologies, the robots maintained remarkable stability even while executing high-frequency, dynamic striking motions. Shenzhen Shenyuan Artificial Intelligence Technology Co. Ltd. showcased a 174-meter-long, AI-generated digital scroll that visually narrated the integrated development and vibrant dynamism of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. “This scroll was fully created by our proprietary MasterAgent, the world’s first L4-level agent parent system,” explained Michelle, project lead for the digital scroll. Elevating the visual experience further, Shenzhen-based Unilumin deployed nearly 300 square meters of ultra-high-definition LED screens that illuminated the venue. “Designed to perform reliably in complex outdoor settings, the LED display uses an aluminum base shell that offers efficient self-cooling and extreme heat resistance, ensuring steady operation through harsh weather and an uninterrupted ceremony,” noted Xiang Li, general manager of Unilumin Sports, a subsidiary of Unilumin. Beyond the opening, Unilumin is supplying integrated display solutions for more than 20 venues across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, converting event data, live broadcasts, and audience interactions into dynamic visual content.
