THE 19th Shenzhen International Financial Exposition (Finexpo), one of China’s premier financial industry events, will take place from Nov. 19 to 21 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District, according to a municipal government press conference Thursday.

Spanning 15,000 sqm, the three-day expo will host 288 exhibitors across nine specialized zones, covering areas such as fintech, domestic and international financial institutions, financial support services, and talent development.

The event is expected to draw more than 10,000 visitors, while over 300 industry leaders and experts are slated to speak at a series of forums.

First launched in 2007, Finexpo has been certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, indicating its evolution from a local showcase into a globally recognized professional platform. This year’s edition is set to further reinforce its standing as a financial summit with worldwide influence.

This year’s expo will highlight the integration of finance and technology and serve as a leading platform for financial institutions to launch new products, services, and solutions. A fintech conference — the first of its kind in Shenzhen — will also be held.

The agenda includes an opening ceremony, a main forum, an international finance conference, a fintech conference, the Chinese Financial Institutions Annual Summit, and several themed events.

The added value of Shenzhen’s financial sector reached 398.76 billion yuan (US$54.87 billion) in the first three quarters of this year, a year-on-year increase of 14.5%.

The expo is hosted by the Shenzhen Municipal Government and organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Municipal Committee (CCPIT Shenzhen), the Shenzhen Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau, and the Shenzhen International Chamber of Commerce.
