Step into the world of Impressionist artworks
    2025-11-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THIS October, the “150th Anniversary of Impressionism Light and Shadow Exhibition” made its Asian debut at the MArtchall in Tian’an Cloud Valley, Bantian. This artistic tour, which set sail from Paris and passed through cities like Madrid and Rome, has already captivated over 3.6 million viewers worldwide.

The exhibition collaborates with 18 museums globally, presenting 1:1 reproductions — from brushstrokes to frames — of 32 representative works by 11 Impressionist masters, bringing these world-renowned artworks together in one place.

Without traveling far, visitors can immerse themselves in the gentle yet vivid world of light and shadow that defines Impressionism.

This exhibition is presented by the Italian gold medal-winning team behind the immersive exhibition for the Musée Marmottan Monet and is exclusively authorized by the Foundation Claude Monet, ensuring that every detail carries profound artistic authenticity and academic authority.

In addition to the classic paintings, the venue features multiple immersive interactive light and shadow installations: Step into the mirror-like, dreamy scene inspired by Monet’s garden in Giverny, where water lilies bloom before your eyes and light shifts with your steps; then turn and lose yourself in the swirling, starry night of Van Gogh’s world, where a cascade of stars gently envelops every visitor.

Since its emergence in France in the 1860s, Impressionism has rewritten the chapters of art history by capturing the fleeting changes of wind, air, and time through loose brushstrokes and vibrant colors.

The 32 works on display at the exhibition are a vivid continuation of that history. Among them, 27 pieces are reproduced in 1:1 scale, meticulously replicating every hue of the paintings and every detail of the frames.

Dates: Until Jan. 31, 2026

Venue: MArtchall, Tian’an Cloud Valley, Longhua District (龙华区天安云谷小蘑菇艺术馆)

Metro: Line 10 to Gangtou Station (岗头站), Exit C1(Wang Jingli)
