OVER 60 students from universities in China and the U.S. gathered Saturday at the Yuehai Enterprise Service Center for the opening of the third annual “ISEE E-Ventures” Global Youth Cross-border E-commerce Digital Marketing Camp.

The weeks-long camp brings together students from institutions including Shenzhen University, the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, and The Ohio State University.

The camp is designed to equip students with the skills to navigate linguistic and cultural barriers while developing practical e-commerce capabilities.

At the opening session, students were introduced to the camp’s curriculum and training structure. They formed teams and selected products for upcoming practical exercises.

Qin Qing, deputy secretary of the College of International Exchange at Shenzhen University, encouraged participants to engage in cross-border e-commerce with courage and innovation.

Meanwhile, this year’s camp has introduced leading firms such as Xiaomi and Bambu Lab as strategic ecosystem partners, according to Huang Zhenting, director of the Yuehai Subdistrict Public Affairs Center.

Chen Mo, director of the Shenzhen University International Student Development Center and initiator of the program, highlighted the newly launched official “ISEE E-Ventures” website as this year’s key innovation.

The platform will regularly update program developments and corporate partnership achievements while expanding social impact, with the aim of attracting more global youth and industry resources in the future.

During the team formation session, students introduced their academic backgrounds and interests. Some groups focused on technology-driven solutions for the industry, while others explored ways to promote traditional Chinese products to global audiences.

“I’ve not only learned practical cross-border e-commerce skills but also met many like-minded friends,” said Ksneiia, from Russia.

The camp serves as both an educational program and an exercise in international cooperation.
