As the talent arm of the Shenzhen International Business e-Station, the center will create a professional service system that integrates employment, training, services, and resource matching. Chen Shuang, deputy general manager of Shenzhen Qianhai International Talent Service Center Co. Ltd., said the center aims to help GBA firms expand into overseas markets and support the global expansion of the region’s manufacturing sector. A job fair for overseas talent was held at the center to coincide with the inauguration ceremony. More than 41 firms offered 1,160 openings at the fair, attracting over 1,500 foreign nationals living on the Chinese mainland, as well as people from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Jon Kolodychuk, a Canadian studying at Peking University, said he flew into Shenzhen to attend the event because he hopes to work in the city after graduation. “The tech sector offers the best opportunities right now — it’s very diverse and will define the 21st century. My background is in management consulting, so I think I can use those skills to bring a lot of value to companies here,” he said. Bonnie Lin, a representative of Insta360, said the company was recruiting for marketing, sales, and online engineering positions. “We collected many excellent resumes and really appreciate the chance to connect with international candidates. More than 20% of our marketing team is foreign — we have a very diverse environment,” she said. |
