The event took place at Brewtown, the city’s first beer-themed commercial complex. Composed by Hong Kong musician Joanus Lam, the song pays tribute to Bao’an’s millennia-old cultural heritage while also artistically interpreting its 45 years of reform and opening-up achievements. The song is designed to help more people appreciate Bao’an’s historical depth, ecological beauty, rapid development, and warmth among people — allowing its “light” to become a cultural beacon illuminating the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The song was performed jointly by Hong Kong singer Ruco Chan and mainland singer Zhang Yutong, bringing to life the profound shared heritage and close partnership between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. “In my eyes, Bao’an is a place where people chase their dreams. You can see positive energy and a light in their eyes,” Lam shared in an interview. “As one line in the lyrics says, ‘Little by little, lights will merge into the crowd, illuminating each other’s paths ahead.’” During the event, Lam was also officially appointed as the music, culture, and tourism ambassador for Bao’an District. |
