
The 2025 Shenzhen Marathon, stretching from the Civic Center in Futian District to Haibin Square in Bao’an District, attracted a record-high 30,000 runners yesterday. More than 20,000 of these participants traveled from outside the city. Ethiopian athletes swept the championships: Kemal Husen Gebi won the men’s title with a time of 2:09:12, while his compatriot Foyza Jemal Amid secured the women’s title in 2:26:14. Also held yesterday on the same 42.195-km route was the marathon event for the 12th National Paralympic Games and the 9th Special Olympics, which saw participation from 67 athletes |
