Shenzhen has been assigned new strategic roles under Guangdong’s 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), which was unveiled yesterday. A roadmap of the province’s development for the next five years, the plan designates Shenzhen as the future “Capital of High-tech Enterprises” and endorses Shenzhen’s ambition to become a more influential global economic center and a modern international metropolis.
