Your guide to Christmas 2025 in SZ
    2025-12-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

AS the holiday season approaches, Shenzhen is once again transforming into a dazzling spectacle of festive cheer. This year, the city’s major malls are pulling out all the stops, offering everything from life-sized storybook villages and arctic expeditions to designer toy wonderlands. To help you plan your festive outings, we’ve mapped out the must-see Christmas installations across the city for 2025.

MixC Shenzhen Bay

MixC Shenzhen Bay provides a comprehensive “Christmas map” guiding you through multiple themed areas in one visit. The route takes you from a snow fairy tale zone and a pine-themed area with a skyline-framing tree to a Green-Valley space with a water-curtain tree and a final starlight-wish corner with reindeer installations. Simply follow the path to capture every key spot.

Venue: MixC Shenzhen Bay, Nanshan District (深圳湾万象城)

Metro: Line 2, 11, 13 to Houhai Station (后海站), Exit L

MixC World

For a more whimsical experience, MixC World offers a charming, storybook-style Christmas. Wander through a “secret forest” near the bookstore, admire cozy shop windows, and stroll down starlit lanes. The magic culminates in a lantern-lit alley perfect for a festive drink, while a towering “Book Tree” made of stacked books on the high street adds a literary touch.

Venue: MixC World, Nanshan District (万象天地)

Metro: Line 1 to Hi-tech Park Station (高新园站), Exit A

UpperHills

Follow the adorable Fluffy Bear as UpperHills morphs into an enchanting Christmas town. A glowing sleigh trail leads you through the central atrium and L3 town area to discover a pine forest, a wish-granting train, and picturesque postcard corners straight out of an animated film. Visit on December weekends for the full experience, complete with scheduled snowfall and live band parades.

Venue: UpperHills, Futian District (深业上城)

Metro: Line 10 to Donggualing Station (冬瓜岭站), Exit E

Uniwalk Qianhai

Step into a pop-art Christmas at Uniwalk Qianhai, brought to you by POP MART’s “Apple of My Eye” theme. The centerpiece is a spectacular 12-meter spiral tree at Dragon Plaza, decked out with festive versions of LABUBU, Molly, DIMOO, and SKULLPANDA. Don’t miss the giant, glowing apple core for the ultimate photo op.

Venue: Uniwalk Qianhai, Bao’an District (前海壹方城)

Metro: Line 1 or 5 to Bao’an Center Station (宝安中心站), Exit F

Haiya Mega Mall

Prepare to be dazzled by a show-stopping golden “carousel dress” Christmas tree on the main square of Haiya Mega Mall. The installation, complete with twinkling fairy lights, purple cloud trees, and glowing cabins, makes every snapshot look cinematic. As night falls, the scene is crowned by a stunning illuminated Pegasus with majestic purple wings.

Venue: Haiya Mega Mall, Bao’an District (海雅缤纷城宝安店)

Metro: Line 12 to Xin’an Park Station (新安公园站), Exit C2

MixC Qianhai

Escape Shenzhen’s subtropical climate at MixC Qianhai’s “Realm of Ice and Snow II — Polar Rendezvous.” Located in the B2 courtyard, this indoor glacier wonderland features reindeer, cabins, and a tall Christmas tree, all enveloped in a pristine white theme. Step into a sub-zero fantasy world, with multi-level photo opportunities creating the perfect illusion of a snowy holiday.

Venue: MixC Qianhai (万象前海)

Metro: Line 5 to Guiwan Station (桂湾站), Exit E(Li Jing)
