New landmark opens in Guangzhou
    2025-12-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

This aerial photo captures the newly inaugurated Greater Bay Area Science Hall on Lingshan Island in Guangzhou's Nansha District. The venue, which officially opened Friday, will serve as the permanent home for the Greater Bay Area Science Forum.

The complex's striking wave-shaped stainless steel roofs evoke the imagery of sails riding the ocean waves, reflecting the forum's mission of scientific exploration and collaboration.

The launch follows the conclusion of this year's Greater Bay Area Science Forum, held earlier this month in Guangzhou. The event brought together over 50 distinguished scientists, including a Turing Award laureate, academicians from China and abroad, and representatives from government, business, and academic institutions.
