WHEN I first arrived in Shenzhen a few months ago, I felt as though I had stepped into a city that breathes the future. Every street, every building, and every moment here tells a story of creativity, technology, and human warmth.

During my short stay, I have already collected countless moments of wonder. I played golf for the very first time, visited a local company to observe its modern work environment, watched a robot skillfully prepare coffee, tried out drone delivery services on campus, and even enjoyed a helicopter ride over Dameisha Beach.

I was also struck by thoughtful touches in daily life, such as the Metro’s convenient phone-charging ports — small details that make living here effortless and efficient.

From the dazzling light shows in Futian’s CBD, to the elegant layouts of contemporary bookstores, and the miniature wonders at Window of the World theme park, each experience revealed another layer of Shenzhen — a city that never stops innovating, yet remains welcoming and inclusive to all who come.

What amazes me most is how seamlessly technology blends into everyday life. From 5G networks and AI-powered smart homes to digital payments and intelligent transportation, everything is designed to enhance convenience and connectivity.

Yet beyond its technological brilliance, Shenzhen has a warm heart. The kindness of its people, their respect for diverse cultures, and their openness to new ideas have moved me deeply. As an international student, I feel welcomed, supported, and inspired to challenge myself each day.

Studying and living here aligns perfectly with my curious spirit. The city motivates me to think creatively, explore unfamiliar concepts, and remain open to the new. Every day brings another opportunity to learn — about technology, about society, and about myself.

Living in Shenzhen has taught me that growth comes through continuous learning, exploration, and belief in possibilities. This is where curiosity meets innovation and where dreams take flight.
