New AI chips MOORE Threads Technology, a Beijing-based chipmaker founded by ex-Nvidia executive Zhang Jianzhong, has unveiled a new line of AI chips after its Shanghai IPO. The company said its new Huagang architecture will raise computational density by 50% and improve energy efficiency by 10 times. Production is expected to begin in 2026, with the technology enabling data centers to connect more than 100,000 chips for AI training. The company also introduced updated Lushan-series GPUs and upgrades to its MUSA computing platform. Zhipu AI nears IPO ZHIPU AI, a Beijing-based AI company, has moved closer to a Hong Kong IPO after passing a listing hearing and submitting documents to the exchange. The listing could raise around US$300 million. Founded in 2019 by Tsinghua University professors, Zhipu develops large language models and operates overseas under the name Z.ai. |
