Guangdong first in China to host 4 mega airports
    2025-12-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Guangdong became China’s first province to host four airports that individually handle over 10 million passengers annually when Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport in eastern Guangdong’s Jieyang city surpassed that threshold yesterday. The other three airports are in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Zhuhai. Guangdong is also the province with the highest total annual passenger traffic nationwide. By the end of 2024, 40 of the 263 civil transport airports on the Chinese mainland had reached the 10‑million‑passenger mark
