‘Wing Chun’ hits 300-show milestone in Toronto
    2026-01-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Shenzhen dance drama “Wing Chun” achieved a major milestone Sunday with its 300th global performance at Toronto’s Meridian Hall. The landmark show concluded the production’s historic debut tour across North America, where it has enthralled audiences by masterfully blending Chinese martial arts with contemporary dance. During its Toronto engagement alone, the drama was presented 20 times — marking its first-ever series of performances on the continent. Since its premiere, “Wing Chun” has toured extensively throughout Europe and Asia, with 280 acclaimed shows in renowned venues across cities such as Singapore, London, and Paris. As China’s third city to host the APEC summit, Shenzhen has leveraged this celebrated cultural export to underscore its growing role as a dynamic incubator of creativity and culture
