
Nanshan has become the first district of a prefecture-level city in China to achieve a GDP exceeding 1 trillion yuan (US$143 billion) in 2025, district head Li Xiaoning said in a government work report delivered at the opening of the district legislature’s annual session yesterday. Over the past five years, Nanshan has maintained an average annual GDP growth rate of more than 5.8%. As a pivotal hub for technological innovation and advanced manufacturing in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the district is now home to over 20 robot manufacturers, more than 200 robotics-related companies, and over 1,000 AI enterprises whose annual revenue exceeded 20 million yuan each |
